Though the pandemic posed challenges, the Political Economy Project hosted two informal reading groups in the Spring of 2020 and another in the Summer, all three of them meeting remotely by Zoom. Professor Meir Kohn led his charges through a discussion of "The Proper Role of Government in the Economy," with special emphasis on The Law by the French economic journalist Frédéric Bastiat (1801-50). For his part, Professor Henry Clark directed a group on Alan Kahan's 2010 book Mind vs Money: The War Between Intellectuals and Capitalism and another in the Summer on Philip K. Howard's 2014 book The Rule of Nobody: Saving America from Dead Laws and Broken Government.
