Thursday May 18 at 11 on Zoom. Sponsored by the Political Economy Project.
What was it that actually “caused” the financial collapse of 2008? Most of us have vague notions, but Kevin Erdmann has been studying this question and collecting data on it for a long time. In this talk he will share some of his general conclusions, focused on our severe national housing shortage. Erdmann laid out his thesis in the books Shut Out (2019) and Building from the Ground Up (2022), in various papers at The Mercatus Center at George Mason University, and currently at Substack.
