Co-author of the new book The Medieval Constitution of Liberty: Political Foundations of Liberalism in the West (Univ. of Michigan Press, August, 2023), economist Andy Young turns his attention to the American founding. What laws, institutions, or constitutional provisions in the American constitution have proven most important in shaping the economic development of the United States in the first two centuries or so of its history?

His exploration of constitutional political economy will be free and open to the public.
